While we designed the Bear Mattress to have a solid core support with a nice touch of softness on top for comfort, we would categorize the mattress as a medium-firm. Certain independent reviews for comparison on mattress firmness rate the Bear Mattress a 7.1 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being most firm.

The cover is hypoallergenic and made from a combination of organic cotton and merino wool. And, with recycled polyester yarn, made from water bottles, it's a cover that's soft, beautiful and great for the planet, too.
